Things to practice over the summer

Please have your child continue to practice/learn multiplication facts and continue to keep fresh on math operations, time, area, perimeter, and fractions.  Also have your child read daily and work on parts of speech and writing.

Online Text books

Social Studies- Our Nation - currently only a series of readers are available, not the student book. 

Science- Pearson SuccessNet - user name: 1st&last / password: rebels00 (I will enter student information this weekend)

The following students must use a 3 after their user name: 1, 4, 9, 16

Scholastic Counts - this webpage allows you to look up information about books.

Reading Logs

Reading logs are not required. Periodic quiz reports will be sent home.

Reading Levels

Level 1 – graduation from Junior High 15 points
Level 2 – graduation from High School 30 points
Level 3 – graduation from Junior College 50 points
Level 4 – graduation from College 70 points
Level 5 – masters degree 90 points
Level 6 - Doctorates PhD 120 points (decorate a t-shirt)
