Dear Parent, Welcome back to school. I look forward to meeting you and working with your student this year. In sixth grade, I use a binder system for recording work and communicating with you. The binder needs to be 1½” with eight subject dividers. There will be a weekly assignment sheet for you to sign each weekend. This binder needs to be at school with your student on a daily basis, as your student will be filing and recording graded work daily. Your student will also need one pencil box, a small bottle of hand sanitizer in the pencil box, five book covers, and a water bottle. I have a water cooler in the classroom, but I do not provide cups. Their water bottles may be kept at their desks. Back-to-school night is Monday, August 30. I look forward to seeing you there.
